1. I need to edit a previous comment. Eisenhower, not Truman.

2. You could make a career just captioning photos. "The body of Abraham Feller in 1952, formerly of the United Nations. Close friend of Alger Hiss & asphalt. One Dead Feller." Reminds me of young PJB writing headlines for a local paper: "Nut Bolts, Screws".

3. I never even heard of Milton Eisenhower until you wrote about him. Contrast that with other Executive Branch brothers of the 20th century: JFK / RFK, John Foster and Allen Dulles were all over my formal education. Why not Milton?

So I can't keep this in, you fucking triggered me -- you asshole.

I have archival documents of J. Edgar Hoover threatening a Senator with the potential revelation in ~1948 that he was a member of the Institute for Pacific Review, the one run by Owen Lattimore. Lattimore is who finally unwound McCarthy. Academics still defend Lattimore today, even though he was clearly a Communist.

IPR was considered such an obvious front group for Communism that it became a political football in the 48-52 time period.

Lattimore took over IPR in the mid-30s. I separately found the membership roster of the IPR in the late-30s that included this Senator before he was a Senator, which is very odd. But also includes... the Dulles brothers.

Back when they were just 'working on Wall Street' etc. etc.

There's a lot of good stuff in my drafts folder. And separately a lot of gems in my archives copies.

I almost forgot... Pedernales Electric Coop?!

Do you know how many times I've used their former (until maybe 2-3 years ago?) HQ as a personal landmark? I think it's like a dog-grooming studio or something equally goofy now.

I need to see the details on the link to LBJ campaign corruption!

It's an open secret in that area. I think it's referenced in the Caro books. I'll try to source it.

Yea, fuck PEC. It's a hive of villainy, like most local elected entities.
