Similar to the idea that you can tell a lot about a society by the way it treats its prisoners, I’ve always thought that you can tell a lot about a place by how it treats its kids.
Because I realized I had an item wrong: Hiss does have a surviving grandson: Jacob Hiss.
Jacob is a videographer in New York City. He is the son of Hiss’ only biological son: Tony.
Tracing present-day genealogy for somewhat-obscure individuals is a regular feature here at Politica, but it comes with certain risks since it can be hard to get current and accurate information.
